Martin G. Reynolds is editor of the Oakland Tribune and assistant managing editor for news of the Bay Area News Group-East Bay. He is one of the lead editors of the Chauncey Bailey Project.

Reynolds began his career at the Oakland Tribune as an intern in 1995, and covered everything from homicides to economic development to quilting. He has overseen the implementation of a student news bureau program with San Francisco State University and the University of California-Berkeley. Reynolds has also brokered the creation of a media access center at the West Oakland branch of the public library. The center is part of the Tribune’s effort to approach community journalism in a new way, and will help make ethnic media and other media accessible to the public.
