Yusuf Bey V
Yusuf Ali Bey V, 21, is a half-brother of Yusuf Bey IV and a co-defendant with him in a May 2007 kidnapping and torture case involving two women. Three other Bey family members or associates of Your Black Muslim Bakery associates were also charged. Bey V is one of more than 40 children fathered by the patriarch of the Bey family, Yusuf ALi Bey. Bey had at least nine spiritual wives in addition to his legal wife, Farieda Bey.
In 2002, four women, identified as Jane Doe 1, 2, 3, and 4, accused the elder Bey of raping them when they were as young as 10. Bey V is the son of Jane Doe 1, and his aunt is Jane Doe 2, who is the mother of Joshua Bey. Joshua Bey has pleaded guilty to lesser charges in exchange for his testimony against the his half-brothers. Joshua is both a half-brother and cousin of Bey V.
In August 2006, Bey V and bakery associate Ajuwon Fardjamaal Muhammad were charged with battery for allegedly beating a man. Muhammad was picked up in St. Louis, Mo., and held for extradition to face charges in Alameda and Santa Clara counties that included identity theft and car theft.
