I was in Oakland in the late 70's and let me tell you it scared the *hit out of me, and me from the deep slums of Chicago, IL. There was an anger and a desolation there I've never seen anywhere else. It breaks my heart that the excellent Muslim faith was perverted the way it was by these Stephens/Bey people. It puts a bad association in people's minds that is magnified by the pResident's anti-Muslim rhetoric. What a shame.

How interesting there was a connection to Nation of Islam and Luis Farrakhan. I hope the truth comes out soon.

P.S. Judy, going into the ancient history establishes a pattern, which yes is useful in viewing a more recent crime. The fact that so many other cases tie to them, from baby raping to financial chicanery to unsolved shotgun murders speaks volumes.

Hi: I heard your interview on Michael Krazney's show today, 6/19/08. I remember when Mr. Bailey was killed and how tragic it was. The gang Mr. Bailey was investigating--the gang that killed him--needs to be brought to justice.

As one of your guests said, the gang is intimidating people and keeping them in a state of fear. It's the same gang tactic that is used to terrorize my elementary age students in San Francisco in the projects where they live.

Without police protection we may as well live in Russia, China or South Africa instead of the United States of America.

That the Oakland police have let this gang kill, maim and destroy is despicable and must stop immediately.

God Bless Chauncy Bailey for the incredible courage to investigate this dangerous gang that is ruining the lives of so many.

I am sickened by the Oakland police department and will do what I can to bring the murderers of Chauncy Bailey to justice.

Thanks for the radio show without which I would not have learned of your website.

I think that the police are graspimg for straws if they have gone back 40 years to try to link the killing of Chauncy Baily to the killings in Santa Barbara.. I know some of the Bey family and they did not practice violence. True the younger Beys have shown a tendency towards violence, they are the ones who need to be looked at.
